General Introduction
Coupling sleeve is a threaded cylindrical component used to connect two top hammer drill rods or shank adapters and drill rods. It provides a secure connection between the rods, allowing for an extended drilling length, as well as transmitting the rotational force and impact energy from the drill rig to the drill bit.
Drill rod coupling sleeves come in two main types: semi-bridge and full bridge. Both serve the same basic function of connecting drill rods securely, but their design and applications differ based on the level of strength, support and protection they offer during drilling operations.
