Once the spline shows wear, chipping, deformation or cracks, It is not recommended ti continue using or repairing it.
Reason 1: The shank spline of a shank adapter is a crucial part to transmit retating torque force, it will cause slipping, unstable drilling or low efficiency if it's worn or repairing.
Reason 2: The spline is a precision-machined part. Simple welding or grinding cannot restore original fit, and will accelerate wear.
Reason 3: Reparied or over used splines creat sever stress concentration. Under high-efficiency impact, the shank may break suddenly and damage the rock drill.
