General Introduction

A Reaming is a specialized reaming tool designed for hole enlargement while ensuring precision and stability.

With a feature of a smaller button bit, positioned at the front of the reamer, it is specifically designed for bench drilling, a method widely used in mining, quarrying, and construction to create controlled and precise boreholes. The smaller part of button bit at the front of the reamer bit ensures accurate hole alignment by guiding the bit through the pre-drilled pilot hole, reducing the risk of deviation and enhancing drilling efficiency.

This design is particularly effective in bench blasting operations, where multiple holes must be drilled with consistent depth and spacing for optimal fragmentation. The robust construction of the reamer bit, combined with wear-resistant tungsten carbide button inserts, allows it to withstand high-impact conditions and effectively enlarge boreholes in hard rock formations.

Technical Information

The reamer drill bit is primarily constructed from 45CrNiMoV alloy steel, a robust material renowned for its high strength, wear resistance, and exceptional durability. Engineered to withstand extreme drilling conditions, including hard rock formations and high-impact operations, this alloy ensures reliable performance and longevity. Through precision heat treatment and surface hardening, the steel gains enhanced resistance to wear, fractures, and deformation, ultimately extending the tool's lifespan while maintaining optimal drilling efficiency

The button teeth of the reamer bit are crafted from Element Six or YK05, two premium tungsten carbide materials recognized for their outstanding hardness, superior wear resistance, and high impact strength. This advanced carbide composition enables the rock drilling domed reamer to deliver exceptional penetration efficiency, prolonged service life, and minimal wear, making it an ideal choice for mining, tunneling, and HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) applications.

FAQ

Q: 1. Can the reamer bit be customized?

A: Yes. Guizhou Gdrills Equipment Co.,ltd offer customization options, including different diameters and thread connections, customized tungsten carbide button designs, and tailored cutting structures for specific drilling conditions.

Q: 2. How long does a reaming bit last?

A: The lifespan depends on rock hardness, drilling parameters, and maintenance, but high-quality reamer bits made with wear-resistant materials generally offer extended service life and reduced replacement frequency.

Q: 3. What rock formations can this bit handle?

A: Reaming bits are designed to perform in medium to hard rock formations, including granite, basalt, sandstone, limestone, and other abrasive rocks.

Q: 4. What maintenance is required for a button bit reaming tool?

A: Maintenance includes 1)Regularly inspect carbide buttons for wear and replace damaged ones. 2)Check the bit body for cracks or deformation. 3)Ensure the pilot adapter remains securely attached and aligned. 4)Clean the bit after use to remove debris and extend lifespan.

Q: 5. Can a damaged reamer bit be repaired?

A: Yes, some parts can be repaired or reconditioned, such as welded carbide buttons and minor body cracks, but extensive damage usually requires replacement.
