EXPOMINA PERÚ 2026 has successfully concluded, from September 9–11, Gdrills had the opportunity to meet mining companies, drilling contractors, engineers, procurement professionals and industry partners at the Centro de Exposiciones Jockey in Lima. We sincerely thank everyone who visited our booth, discussed projects with our team, shared field experience, or simply took the time to learn more about Gdrills and our rock drilling solutions.
More Than a Product Exhibition
One of the most valuable aspects of EXPOMINA PERÚ 2026 was the opportunity to communicate directly with professionals working in real mining and drilling environments. Discussions were not limited to product catalogues or specifications. Customers shared practical concerns related to rock formation, drilling efficiency, tool life, equipment compatibility, maintenance requirements and cost per meter. These conversations reinforced an important principle for Gdrills: a drilling tool should not be evaluated independently from the drilling system in which it operates. Bit design, button configuration, thread type, rod selection, drilling parameters and ground conditions all interact to influence overall performance.
Understanding What Reliability Means in the Field
In mining and drilling operations, reliability is closely connected with productivity. A drill bit with a longer service life may reduce replacement frequency, while a properly matched rod and shank adapter can contribute to stable drilling performance and reduce unnecessary downtime. At the same time, the most expensive tool is not necessarily the most economical choice, and the highest penetration rate does not always result in the lowest drilling cost. The more meaningful question is how the complete drilling system performs over its operating life. This field-oriented perspective is one of the key insights Gdrills gained from conversations with visitors during the exhibition.
EXPOMINA and the Peruvian Mining Market
As a Chinese drilling tool supplier, what we see from this exhibition was not simply demand for individual drilling products, but a market with diverse and increasingly specific requirements. Peru's position as a major mining country also means that its drilling-tool market is closely connected with the development and maintenance of large-scale mining operations. According to the EXPOMINA organizers, Peru's current mining investment portfolio includes 67 projects representing approximately US$64.1 billion in investment, highlighting the scale of future demand across the mining supply chain.
The Conversation Continues After the Exhibition
A three-day exhibition can create an introduction, but developing a reliable supply relationship requires technical communication, product evaluation and experience over time. For visitors who discussed specific drilling projects, product requirements, samples, quotations or potential distribution and supply cooperation with Gdrills, we welcome you to continue the conversation with our team after EXPOMINA.
Thank You, Lima - Let's Keep Building
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to our EXPOMINA PERÚ 2026 experience. Every technical question, field case, product discussion and market insight helps Gdrills better understand the people and applications behind the products we supply. The exhibition may have ended, but the conversations continue. We look forward to turning the connections made in Lima into practical cooperation and supporting more mining and drilling operations with reliable, application-focused solutions.
EXPOMINA has provided valuable market insights and new connections, and we look forward to continuing these conversations with customers in Peru and across Latin America, turning initial contacts into practical, long-term cooperation.
